Hello BVCC Family,

Karen Zimmerman has a great heart for God and His people.  She has been an integral part of small groups providing leadership, resources and connection.  She can muster an army of volunteers to organize events like our International Potluck and also be a one woman army. We have been blessed to work with her and to know her through the years. Thank you for the care and love you give; we will miss you.

Would you send her your appreciation and tells us your favourite moment or story about her.

What?? No. I don’t think so. You can’t leave us Karen! You won’t, right? You’ll stay with us??
Karen, you are someone who unceasingly prays, sacrificially serves, generously gives and cares without expecting anything in return all while remaining (mostly!) hidden away in the background! But I know that you are not hidden from Him and remain firmly in the palm of His hand and that one day you will be highly esteemed and richly rewarded because of your faithfulness to Him and His church, especially during difficult seasons. Thank you for all of the ways you have personally blessed me. You are loved… and you better not be leaving!!! : )

Karen, thank you so much for steering me in the perfect direction with your small group recommendations when I first came to BVCC. It still means so much to me that you put me in such a warm group of ladies to begin delving into the Bible. Since then, I have seen your gentle and incredibly kind heart and sensible head in all my experiences with you. We will miss your many gifts at BVCC and I pray that God lead you to others who will also be blessed by you.

It has always been a great joy to work alongside you Karen, whether in the kitchen at church or long ago in the kitchen at Pine Lake. There is always laughter and good fun and yet you have everything organized so well that I felt I was part of a professional kitchen team. I am truly grateful for all of the leadership roles you have taken on at church with a heart for giving. I pray that the future will hold good times and lots of laughter for you.

Thank you Karen for the positive impacts you have made on my journey and the journey of my family, from learning the ins and outs of small group ministry, when I was a student at ABC, from you to the warm welcome you gave to my family at our new comers lunch at the church, and ensuring we were connected to a smaller community. Thank you, and may God continue to bless your journey and the new adventures that lie ahead.

I don’t know many people who can make it fun to work in the kitchen but that’s you Karen. Amazing organizational skills.
Our church has also been blessed to have you leading the small groups. That has been a great ministry over the years. Thankyou so much!!

Dear Karen, You will be greatly missed as we have served together for so many years and you have been such a blessing to me and my family. You have challenged both Dan and I to lead and host a variety of groups over the years. This has led us to meet many newcomers as well as leading some of them to the Lord. Thank you for spurring us on! You are the queen of hospitality, serving not only those who attend Bow Valley but also those you meet and support in your neighborhood. God bless you for being His hands and feet. May He continue to bless you in the days and years ahead.

    Dear Karen,
What a blessing you have been to me! Not only do I love your two adult children who have such hearts for the Lord and for His Children; you have inspired me with your life story, wisdom and spunk😘
Thank you for working tirelessly for the church to grow and mature. Thank you for giving me ideas and encouragement to expect more than “just showing up”. I love you; I love your heart for Jesus and His church. And although this season may be difficult, I pray His goodness and mercy to be with you. He has a plan.
    Big hugs!!

Karen, thank you so much for your ministry in my life and for your friendship. I appreciate how you have also challenged me in the area of community groups….joining in and also trying my hand at leading the bible study portion from time to time. You have done so much to make me feel welcomed and a real “part of the action” when I was a newcomer at BVCC. Praying God will continue to bless you richly in this new season of your life.
